HALL NOW FULLY OPEN AFTER DECORATING

The Main Hall is now looking splendid. We will all try to keep it that way. No leaning on the walls, no chairs or tables against the walls and bowlers will try and keep the bowls on the mats!!!! (WEBSITE EDITOR PLRASE NOTE!)

SUNDAY LUNCH GREAT SUCCESS

To judge by the comments in the Visitor’s Book (” Fab food, fab music and fab company” – “an afternoon to remember” – “a smashing do” – “when are we having another one?” etc. etc.) there can be no doubt that a great time was had by all 44 people that came to the Hall last Sunday and enjoyed lunch, music from Midlife Crisis, a game of bingo and a prize draw for a hamper.

Congratulations to all involved in the planning and running of this wonderful free event.

CRAFTY COMPANIONS FAYRE

The organisers of the Crafty Companions Craft Fayre would like to offer their thanks to all those who hired tables or helped in any way as well as to those who attended and supported us. Many stalls did exceptionally well. Congratulations to Jeff Wardlow who raised over £ 200 for the Brain Tumour Trust ( a very deserving cause ).
Thoughts are already turning to the possibility of holding a similar event in the summer and almost certainly one next Christmas so watch this space!

YOUTH CLUB RECOMMENCES

Following its Summer break, the Youth Club will begin again in the Community Village Hall on Friday 6th September at 6 pm with a fun sports and games evening, including the start of a Pool Competition. Other activities planned for September include a quiz night (with food!); an archery evening at Burton Agnes; and a trip to a swimming pool.

Everyone aged 7 – 14 years is welcome to join in, so if you haven’t been before, this would be the ideal time to come along, make new friends and have a fantastic time.

The price is still just £1 per night for activities in the Hall. Anyone wanting further details can ring our dedicated Youth Club phone line – 07745 288 124. Look forward to seeing you all on the 6th!
