SECURITY AND SAFETY DAY

Date for your diary. There will be a Security and Safety Day at the Community Village Hall on Sunday 22nd May 10.00am to 2.00pm. A PCSO, Locksmiths, Fire Officers and a Computer expert will be there to give free information and advice to help you keep safe at home and online. Refreshments will be available. All welcome.

Notice is hereby given of the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of  BEMPTON AND BUCKTON COMMUNITY VILLAGE HALL to be held on Friday 20th May 2016 in the Main Hall at 7pm. All welcome.

The Bowls Club team finished 5th – exactly mid-table – in the Scarborough League. A terrific achievement in our first year. Well done everyone!

The penultimate game of the season saw a 7 – 3 victory away to Cayton C. Last game is on Wednesday 16th at home to Scarborough.

A table top sale is to be held at the Community Village Hall on Saturday 31st October. Tables cost £6.00 each with proceeds for Hall funds. For all enquiries or to book a table please ring 01262 422 047 or 07774 232 662

At the recent AGM a new committee was elected without a vote. Changes to the Constitution and management structure were approved unanimously.

Membership of the Village Hall is now automatic for residents of the two villages. Non resident Hall users may apply for membership. Membership carries with it the right to vote at General Meetings.

The Hall is now managed by a single Committee comprising postholders and members without portfolio.

The Playground next to the Village Hall has been vandalised on more than one occasion. Would you please report anything that you see by dialling 101. We’ve just heard that Look North is coming to the school today (Thursday) and tomorrow as part of its coverage of le tour. Keep your eyes on the telly!
