Don’t forget – it’s Bingo Night this Friday usual time, usual place!

Mixed fortunes for the teams in Cup Week. Bempton B took on one of the Scarborough teams and beat them handsomely to progress to the next round. The A team took on the might of Crossgates A (packed with internationals and also runway Division 1 leaders – just saying!) and succombed to the inevitable after a good fight. They can now “concentrate on the League”.

Everyone had a great time at Mel and Ann’s latest Tea Dance on November 1st. The grand sum of £363.00 was raised for Children in Need from entrance fees, the raffle and generous  donations. Their next Tea Dance is on December 13th.

A very good week with a home win for the A team 9 – 1 v Cayton A and an away win for the B team 8 – 2 v Folkton & Flixton.

Last week saw byes for both teams. This week brought a home victory for the A team and a narrow away defeat for the B team. Remember there is no Tuesday Village Social Bowls on 8th November.

The Wednesday Club will meet next on 9th November from 1.00pm to 4.00pm pm when it will be the Christmas Fayre. Admission is £1.00 for members and £1. 50 for guests to include a glass of sherry and a mince pie. Tea or coffee and biscuits will be served and the draw for the hampers will take place later in the meeting. IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO BUY HAMPER DRAW TICKETS. The whole meeting will have a Christmas feel, so come along and join in.

The next Tea Dance is on Tuesday 1st November from 2-00pm to 5-00 pm. £3.50 per person to include homemade cakes. ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO ‘CHILDREN IN NEED’.

 

 

The Zumba Dance Fitness Class previously held on Tuesdays 5.35pm to 6.20pm is no longer running.

Both BBSMBC teams were drawn at home in the Cup. Good news for them but we regret that it means there will not be a Village Bowling session on Tuesday 8th November. Village Bowling on Friday 11th is unaffected.
